Industry recognition for work built with our customers

Our best work starts with our customers. And this year, that work has earned one award and two finalist spots.

John Strawbridge (AT), Alok Vashista (AT) and Blair Bickerton (Orikan) at the NZPA Awards.

Auckland Transport (AT), in partnership with Orikan, has won two awards at the 2026 New Zealand Parking Industry Awards: Innovation Excellence in Technology and the overall New Zealand Parking Industry Excellence Award.

Both awards recognise the PinForce LPRx Survey Module, a tool AT and Orikan developed together at one of our twice-yearly innovation workshops. The module replaces slow, manual on-street surveys, so councils can understand how their parking is used at a fraction of the cost.

The judges looked beyond the tech to assess how well the module could be delivered, its cost benefit, its contribution to AT’s wider parking strategy, and the collaboration between AT and Orikan.

A big congratulations to the AT team, and thank you for the partnership.

Two finalist spots in Australia

Orikan is also a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Australian Parking Industry Awards:

  • Excellence in Technology and Innovation – On Street, in partnership with the University of Queensland (UQ). To reduce admin and make the most of its parking supply, UQ worked with Orikan to deliver Flexi Permits, an ePermits system that gets more from every space.
  • Parking Organisation of the Year. Recognising our work across Australia this year.

Winners will be announced on 14 October.
