Orikan and Duncan Technologies discontinue proposed acquisition

 In April 2024 Orikan requested a pre-assessment from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) on Orikan’s proposal to acquire 100% of the Duncan Technologies business and have been liaising with the ACCC since this time.  

Whilst the ACCC had not yet decided whether to approve or oppose the transaction, the agreement to acquire the business has now lapsed, and the parties have made the decision not to proceed further. 

Throughout this process, Orikan has been investing heavily in new and emerging technologies to ensure we can best support our customers, with the most innovative integrated parking technology on the market.  We will continue to invest to ensure the local industry has a local champion innovating for the specific needs of our Australian and New Zealand customers, whilst pursuing opportunities to take locally made technologies to global markets.
